Manual Relief Valve Operation for Manual Tilting

1. Use a screwdriver to turn the manual relief valve counterclockwise 1 or 2 turns to open it, enabling manual tilting of the outboard motor. 2. Tilt the outboard motor up or down to the desired position. 3. Close the manual relief valve firmly after positioning the outboard motor. WARNING: Be sure the valve is fully closed before operating the outboard motor. If the valve is not closed, the outboard motor will tilt up when operated in reverse. Tools: Screwdriver
