Procedure
Storage Preparation – Fuel System
1. If gasoline contains alcohol (ethanol or methanol), drain as much remaining gasoline as possible from the fuel tank, remote fuel line, and engine fuel system before storage. WARNING: Gasoline containing alcohol can form acid during storage and damage the fuel system. 2. For a portable fuel tank: Pour the required amount of Quickstor Fuel Stabilizer (92-8M0047932) into the fuel tank per label instructions. Tip the fuel tank back and forth to mix stabilizer with fuel. 3. For a permanently installed fuel tank: Pour the required amount of Quickstor Fuel Stabilizer (92-8M0047932) into a separate container and mix with approximately one liter (one quart) of gasoline. Pour this mixture into the fuel tank. 4. Touch up any paint nicks with appropriate touch-up paint (see dealer). 5. Spray Quicksilver or Mercury Precision Lubricants Corrosion Guard (92-802878 55) on all external metal surfaces, EXCEPT corrosion control anodes. WARNING: Do not apply Corrosion Guard to corrosion control anodes. Parts: Quickstor Fuel Stabilizer (92-8M0047932), Corrosion Guard (92-802878 55)
