Procedure
Adding a Fuel Stabilizer Additive for Storage
1. Fill the fuel tank completely with fresh fuel before adding the fuel stabilizer additive. A partially filled tank allows air inside, which can cause the fuel to deteriorate during storage. 2. Drain the carburetor before adding the fuel stabilizer additive (See page 78). 3. Follow the instructions on the fuel stabilizer additive label when adding the product. 4. After adding the additive, run the outboard motor in water for 10 minutes to ensure all old fuel in the fuel system has been completely replaced by fuel containing the additive. 5. Turn the engine OFF.
