Battery Installation
1. Place the battery box in a convenient position away from possible water spray. Securely fasten both the box and the battery so they do not shake loose. WARNING: Do not use a battery that is not recommended. Use of a non-recommended battery can lead to poor performance of, and/or damage to, the electrical system. 2. Connect the positive lead (+) (red battery cord) to the positive terminal (+) of the battery first, then connect the negative lead (—) (black battery cord). After connecting the positive terminal (+), securely place a cap on it to prevent short circuits. WARNING: When disconnecting the battery, always remove the negative lead (—) first.
