Procedure
Carrying the Outboard Motor
1. Keep the outboard motor in a vertical position when carrying. WARNING: Do not give a shock to an outboard motor during transportation. Do not carry or store outboard motor in any of the prohibited positions. Otherwise, engine's exterior may be damaged or water may enter the cylinder through the exhaust port and cause engine problems. 2. Close air vent screw on fuel tank before carrying or storing outboard motor and fuel tank. WARNING: Failure to close air vent screw may cause fuel to leak, potentially catching fire. 3. Use the optional outboard motor stand to keep the outboard motor vertical both during transport and storage.
