Cold Engine Starting Procedure (Electrical Starter Type)
1. Set the throttle grip to START position. 2. Set the control lever in the Neutral position. 3. Pull the choke knob fully. (Choke is not necessary when the engine is warm — set throttle grip to RE-START position instead.) 4. Push the starter switch button and release the button when the engine has started. WARNING: Do not keep the starter motor turning for over 5 seconds, or the battery may be consumed, potentially making engine starting impossible and/or damaging the starter. If cranking over 5 seconds fails to start the engine, return the main switch to ON and retry. Tools: Starter button, Battery
