Procedure
Cranking / Starter Motor Operation
1. Do not keep the starter motor turning for more than 5 seconds to avoid battery consumption and potential starter damage. WARNING: Cranking for over 5 seconds may drain the battery, making engine starting impossible and/or damaging the starter. 2. If cranking for over 5 seconds fails to start the engine, return the main switch to 'ON' and wait at least 10 seconds before cranking again. 3. Do not attempt to crank the starter after the engine has already started.
