Procedure
Stop the Engine (Tiller Handle Type)
1. Turn the throttle grip to the slow position. WARNING: Be careful not to accidentally remove the engine stop switch lanyard while the boat is running. A sudden stop can cause loss of steering control and speed, possibly throwing crew and objects forward due to inertial force. 2. Put the shift lever in the Neutral (N) position. 3. If the engine has been running at full speed, run the engine at idling speed for 2–3 minutes to cool down. 4. Push the stop switch for a few seconds to stop the engine.
