Procedure
Stop the engine (tiller handle type)
1. Turn the throttle grip to the slow (idle) position. WARNING: Sudden deceleration may cause passenger(s) to be thrown overboard or fall down. Open/close throttle gradually. 2. Put the shift lever in the Neutral (N) position. If the engine has been running at full speed, run it for 2–3 minutes at idling speed to allow cooling. 3. Push the stop switch for a few seconds to stop the engine. WARNING: Do not accidentally remove the engine stop switch lanyard while the boat is running. Sudden engine stop can cause loss of steering control and inertial force may throw crew or objects forward.
