Engine Oil Change
1. Unlock and remove the engine cover. WARNING: Drain the used oil while the engine is warm. Warm oil drains quickly and completely. 2. Place a suitable container below the oil drain guide to catch the used oil, then remove the oil filler cap, drain bolt, and sealing washer. 3. Allow the used oil to drain completely. Install a new sealing washer, then reinstall the engine oil drain bolt and washer. Tighten the drain bolt securely. (torque: 17 lbf·ft) WARNING: Improper disposal of engine oil can be harmful to the environment. Put used oil in a sealed container and take it to a recycling center. Do not throw it in the trash, pour it on the ground, or down a drain. 4. Install the drain bolt cover and secure it with the screw. 5. With the outboard motor in a vertical position, fill to the upper limit mark on the dipstick with the recommended oil. Capacity: 8.0 US qt (7.6 L) without oil filter change; 8.2 US qt (7.8 L) with oil filter change. 6. Install the oil filler cap and tighten it securely.
