Pre-Start Safety Setup – Flush-mount Mechanical Wire Type Emergency Stop Switch

1. Insert the emergency stop switch clip into the emergency stop switch, then attach the emergency stop switch lanyard securely to the operator or to the operator's PFD (Personal Flotation Device). WARNING: The engine will not start or run unless the emergency stop switch clip is in the emergency stop switch. Always attach the lanyard before starting the engine. The lanyard will stop the engine if the operator falls away from the controls. 2. Set the control lever to the N (neutral) position. WARNING: The engine will not start if the F (forward) or R (reverse) gears are engaged.
