Procedure
Starting the Engine
1. Attach the emergency stop switch lanyard securely to the operator or to the operator's PFD. Ensure the emergency stop switch clip is inserted into the emergency stop switch. WARNING: The engine will not start or run unless the emergency stop switch clip is in the emergency stop switch. If you fall away from the controls while operating, the lanyard system will stop the engine. 2. Set the control lever to the N (neutral) position. WARNING: The engine will not start if the F (forward) or R (reverse) gears are engaged. 3. Turn the ignition switch key to the ON position. The buzzer will sound twice to confirm power is on. 4. Turn the ignition switch key to the START position and hold it there until the engine starts. Once the engine starts, release the key and allow it to return to the ON position.
