Procedure
Vapor Separator Fuel Draining (Storage)
1. Loosen the vapor separator drain screw using a commercially available flat tip screwdriver. 2. Turn the outboard motor to the starboard side and tilt the motor up. Keep the end of the drain hose below the level of the vapor separator drain screw and watch for fuel to start flowing out the drain hose. 3. After the fuel starts flowing out the drain hose, tilt the outboard motor down and allow the vapor separator to finish draining. 4. After draining thoroughly, tighten the drain screw securely. 5. Clip the drain hose on the head cover. 6. Drain the fuel tank into an approved gasoline container, or fill the fuel tank with fresh gasoline and add Honda Marine fuel stabilizer or equivalent (following directions on the container) to extend fuel storage life. WARNING: Gasoline is highly flammable and explosive. Stop the engine and let it cool before handling fuel. Keep heat, sparks, and flame away. Handle fuel only outdoors. Wipe up spills immediately.
