Outboard Mounting Installation

1. Strongly recommended: have a dealer install the outboard and related accessories to ensure proper installation and good performance. WARNING: Failure to correctly fasten the outboard could result in the outboard propelling off the boat transom, resulting in property damage, serious injury, or death. 2. If self-installing, correctly install the outboard with the required mounting hardware before operation. Refer to the Outboard Installation section of the manual. WARNING: Before operation, the outboard must be correctly installed with the required mounting hardware.
