Filling Fuel Tank (General)

1. Stop the engine before refilling the fuel tank. WARNING: Avoid serious injury or death from a gasoline fire or explosion. Do not smoke or allow open flames or sparks in the area while filling fuel tanks. 2. Fill fuel tanks outdoors away from heat, sparks, and open flames. 3. Do not overfill the fuel tank. Fuel expands in volume as temperature rises and can leak under pressure if completely filled. 4. Mix oil and fuel thoroughly in an approved container before pouring into the motor fuel tank. Do not pour separately into the fuel tank. 5. Pour fuel into the tank through a fine mesh strainer to remove dirt.
