Fuel System Servicing

1. Turn off the key switch and position the lanyard so the engine cannot start. WARNING: Fuel is flammable and explosive. Do not smoke or allow sources of spark or open flame in the area while servicing. Keep the work area well ventilated and avoid prolonged exposure to vapors. 2. Stop the engine and disconnect the battery. 3. Drain the fuel system completely using an approved container to collect and store fuel. 4. Wipe up any fuel spillage immediately. Dispose of materials used to contain spillage in an approved receptacle. 5. Perform all fuel system service in a well-ventilated area. 6. Inspect all completed service work for signs of fuel leakage before attempting to start the engine.
