Procedure
1. Store outboard in an upright (vertical) position to allow water to drain out of the outboard. WARNING: Do NOT store the outboard in a tilted position. Water trapped in the cooling passages or rain water collected in the propeller exhaust outlet in the gearcase can freeze. Store the outboard in the full down position.
