Propeller Installation

1. Apply Quicksilver or Mercury Precision Lubricants Extreme Grease or 2-4-C with PTFE to the entire propeller shaft and splines. WARNING: Ensure full coverage of shaft and splines to prevent corrosion and seizing. 2. Install the front thrust washer onto the propeller shaft. 3. Install the propeller onto the propeller shaft. 4. Install the rear thrust hub onto the propeller shaft. 5. Install the propeller nut onto the propeller shaft. 6. Place a block of wood between the gearcase and the propeller to prevent rotation, then tighten the propeller nut. 7. Secure the propeller nut to the shaft with a cotter pin.
