Procedure
Engine oil and oil filter replacement
1. Tighten the oil filter to the correct torque. (torque: 24 Nm) WARNING: If a torque wrench is not available, a good estimate is 3/4 to 1 full turn past finger-tight. Have the oil filter adjusted to the correct torque as soon as possible with a torque wrench. 2. Reset the engine in a vertical position. 3. Repeat the tilt-and-drain procedures two or three times to drain the oil completely. 4. Remove the top cowl and the oil filler cap. 5. Fill the engine through the filler port with recommended oil (10W-40 or 10W-30 per temperature chart) to the middle of the dipstick mark. WARNING: Wipe off any spilled engine oil immediately and dispose of it in accordance with local fire prevention and environmental protection regulations. 6. Tighten the oil filler cap.
