Procedure
Engine Oil Filling (Pre-Operation)
1. Place the engine in a vertical (upright) position. WARNING: Always ensure outboard motor is upright when checking or changing oil. 2. Remove the top cowl and the oil filler cap. 3. Fill the engine through the filler port with recommended oil to between the upper limit and lower limit shown on the dipstick. WARNING: Do not overfill engine oil — if oil level is over the upper limit mark on the oil level gauge, drain oil to below the upper limit. Overfilling can cause oil leaks and/or engine damage. 4. Tighten the oil filler cap. Parts: Oil filler cap, Dipstick, Oil filler port, Top cowl
