Fuse replacement (for electrical starter type)

1. Stop the engine and disconnect the battery cable from the battery negative (-) terminal. WARNING: Before replacing a fuse, disconnect the battery cable from the battery negative (-) terminal. Failure to do so may cause a short-circuit. 2. Identify and replace the blown fuse, using only a fuse that matches the specified rating. WARNING: Never use a fuse with a rating that exceeds the specified rating as this could cause serious damage to the electrical system. 3. Determine and correct the cause of the blown fuse before reinstalling. If the cause is not corrected, the fuse will likely blow again. 4. If the fuse continues to blow, request an authorized Tohatsu dealer to inspect the outboard motor.
