Power Tilt – Tilt Down
1. Release the tilt stopper from the set-up position while slightly tilting up the outboard motor. 2. Operate the Power Tilt switch and tilt the outboard motor down until the motor touches the thrust rod.

Diagnostic · Cause: Entrapped air in the Power Tilt unit Test: Perform air purging procedure: set manual release valve to Manual, tilt motor up/down 5–6 times manually, then close valve to Power side

Procedure · 1. While slightly tilting the outboard motor up, release the tilt stopper from the set-up position. 2. Operate the Power Tilt switch and tilt the outboard motor down until the motor touches the thrust rod.
Diagnostic · Cause: Dead battery or failed power tilt switch. Test: Attempt to operate the power tilt switch; if no response, check battery charge and switch continuity.
