Propeller Replacement
1. Before beginning propeller removal or installation: ensure spark plug caps are disconnected, shift is in neutral, main switch is at OFF, engine stop switch lock is removed, and starter key is removed. Disconnect battery cable if possible. WARNING: Do not begin procedure with spark plug caps attached, shift in forward or reverse, main switch other than OFF, engine stop switch lock attached, or starter key attached — engine could accidentally start leading to serious personal injury. 2. Wear gloves during replacement to protect hands from the thin, sharp propeller edges. 3. Install propeller with thrust holder in place. WARNING: Do not install propeller without thrust holder or propeller boss could be damaged. 4. Install a new split pin (do not reuse old split pin). WARNING: Do not reuse split pin. 5. After installing the split pin, spread the pin apart to prevent it from falling out, which could cause the propeller to come off during operation. Tools: Gloves
