Spark Plug Replacement / Inspection

1. Stop the engine and allow the motor to cool down completely before touching the spark plugs. WARNING: Do not touch spark plugs immediately after stopping the engine — they will be hot and could cause severe burns. Do not reuse spark plugs with damaged insulation; cracked insulation can cause spark leakage, leading to electric shock, explosion, and/or fire. 2. Inspect the spark plug(s) for fouling, carbon build-up, or wear. Replace if any of these conditions are found. 3. If reusing spark plugs, remove dirt from the electrodes and adjust the spark gap to specification. 4. Use only the manufacturer-recommended spark plugs. Plugs with a different heat range may cause engine damage.
