• Manual Tilt (EP Type) – Set Shallow Water Running Position

  Procedure · 1. Stop the engine. 2. Shift the outboard into forward. 3. Tilt the outboard up to one of the shallow water positions.

• Steering difficulty or loss of boat control during cruising

  Diagnostic · Cause: Improper trim angle (excessive trim up or down) Test: Reduce speed immediately; stop boat and inspect thrust rod / priset knob position Expected: Thrust rod / priset knob positioned so hull runs horizontal

• Engine: Trim Positions (MF)

• Trim angle adjustment – Power tilt type: Transom angle adjustment

  Procedure · 1. Stop the engine. 2. Shift into neutral position. 3. Tilt up the outboard motor. 4. Lock the tilt stopper. 5. Change the trim lock pin position as shown in the picture: (1) Trim lock pin, (2) Higher, (3) Lower.

• Poor tilting movement and increased noise from Power Tilt unit

  Diagnostic · Cause: Entrapped air in the Power Tilt unit Test: Perform air purging procedure: set manual release valve to Manual, tilt motor up/down 5–6 times manually, then close valve to Power side
