Procedure
Fuel Filter with Water Separator Service (Cleaning & Replacement)
1. Remove the three screws holding the fuel filter with water separator. 2. Empty the water or deposits from the inside of the cup. 3. Thoroughly clean the cup and replace with a new fuel filter. 4. Reassemble the fuel filter with water separator in the reverse order of removal. Use a new O-ring. (torque: 2.5 lbf·ft) WARNING: Tightening torque: 2.5 lbf·ft (3.4 N·m, 0.35 kgf·m). Do not overtighten. 5. When installing the suspension strap on the fuel filter with water separator, position the aligning mark as shown in the figure to ensure correct orientation. 6. Prime the engine using the priming bulb (refer to p.55). Check for fuel leaks and repair any fuel leaks if necessary. WARNING: Inspect all connections for fuel leaks after reassembly.
