Lubrication of Outboard Motor Components

1. Apply Honda Marine waterproof grease to the following lubrication points: PTT Thrust Receiver (each side), Swivel, Propeller Shaft, Tilt Lock Lever/Shaft Cam, Shift Arm/Click Roller/Neutral Switch, Tilt Shaft, Throttle Arm/Shift Arm Shaft (flush-mount type, top-mount type – mechanical wire type), Throttle Reel (flush-mount type, top-mount type – mechanical wire type), Engine Cover Latch/Lock (each side), Shift Link Pivot/Shift Link Guide (DBW type). 2. Apply anticorrosion oil to pivot surfaces where grease cannot penetrate. WARNING: Do not apply anticorrosion oil as a substitute for grease where grease is specified. 3. Apply corrosion inhibitor to all areas under the engine cover and any exposed metal surfaces, except belts. Parts: Honda Marine Waterproof Grease, Anticorrosion Oil, Corrosion Inhibitor
