Acceptable Accessory Mounting to the Transom Clamp Bracket

1. Ensure the engine is mounted to the transom or jack plate in accordance with the engine installation instructions before attaching any accessory. WARNING: Avoid serious injury or death resulting from a loss of boat control. Loose engine fasteners could cause the transom bracket to fail, resulting in a loss of the driver's ability to control the boat. Always ensure that the engine fasteners are tightened to the specified torque. 2. Attach the accessory to the boat by use of the unused bolt holes in the transom clamp bracket, as shown in Figure 1. 3. Ensure that the accessory fasteners pass through the boat transom or jack plate.
