1. Periodically inspect each corrosion control anode, especially in saltwater environments where erosion is accelerated. WARNING: Never paint or apply a protective coating on the anode as this will reduce its effectiveness. 2. Replace the anode before it is completely eroded to maintain corrosion protection.
