Procedure
Install Trim In (Tilt) Limit Pin
1. Purchase a stainless steel tilt pin (17-49930A 1) from your dealer. 2. Select the desired adjustment hole in the transom brackets that limits the trim in angle to the preferred position. 3. Insert the stainless steel tilt pin into the chosen adjustment hole in the transom bracket. WARNING: Do not use a non-stainless steel shipping bolt in this application except on a temporary basis. 4. Once on plane, trim the engine to a more intermediate position to avoid a bow-down planing condition (plowing). WARNING: Operating at high speeds with the outboard trimmed too far under can create excessive bow steer, resulting in loss of boat control. Parts: Stainless Steel Tilt Pin (17-49930A 1)
