Rigging Grommet Installation

1. Ensure sufficient slack exists in wiring harnesses, battery cables, and hoses routed between the rigging grommet and engine attachment points to relieve stress and prevent hoses from being kinked or pinched. WARNING: Insufficient slack may cause stress on connections or kinking/pinching of hoses. 2. Route the hoses, wiring, and cables through the rigging adapter and the correct opening in the rigging grommet as follows: Battery cable → battery cable opening (e); Remote 14-pin boat harness → remote 14-pin boat harness opening (f); SmartCraft harness or additional harness → SmartCraft/additional harness opening (g); Accessory harness → accessory harness opening (h); Shift cable → shift cable opening (i); Speedometer tube → speedometer tube opening (j); Fuel hose → fuel hose opening (k); Throttle cable → throttle cable opening (l).
