Procedure
1. Turn the throttle grip to reduce engine speed to trolling (or idling) speed. WARNING: Personal injury and/or equipment damage may occur if shifting at high speed. Engine must be in the slow running position before shifting is attempted. 2. When the engine reaches trolling (or idling) speed, quickly pull the shift lever to the Forward (F) position.
