Cowl Lock and Rear Cover Removal (for Spark Plug Access)

1. Remove the pivot screw and flat washer from the rear cowl latch. 2. Pull out on the rear corner of the latch to clear the rear cover, then remove the rear cowl latch. WARNING: Ensure latch is fully cleared from the rear cover before removal. 3. Remove the two screws securing the rear cover. Locate the two arrows (pry points) on the rear cover. Use a thin blade screwdriver at these pry points and pry out the cover, then remove the rear cover. Tools: Thin blade screwdriver
