Procedure
1. Place the shift lever in Neutral or Forward position. 2. Hold the tilt handle provided at the rear of the top cowl and fully tilt the motor up toward you. WARNING: Do not place your hand between the swivel bracket and the stern bracket when tilting up or down. 3. Slightly lower the motor to lock it in the up position.

Diagnostic · Cause: Entrapped air in the Power Tilt unit Test: Perform air purging procedure: set manual release valve to Manual, tilt motor up/down 5–6 times manually, then close valve to Power side
