Procedure
Mounting the outboard motor – MF/EF/EP/EFT type
1. Set the outboard motor to the appropriate position, ensuring 5–25 mm (0.2–1 in) clearance between the anti-ventilation plate and the water surface. 2. Tighten the clamp screws by turning their handles. Do NOT use tools to tighten clamp screws; over-tightening could damage the clamp screws and clamp brackets. WARNING: Do not use tools to tighten clamp screws. Over tightening could result in damage to the clamp screws and clamp brackets. 3. Secure the clamp brackets to the transom board using bolts (8 × 85), flat washers, and nylon locking nuts. 4. Secure the outboard motor to the boat with a rope to prevent accidental loss of the outboard motor overboard. WARNING: A rope is not included in the standard accessories. 5. Before departure, inspect whether there is any loosening of the clamp screws or mounting bolts. WARNING: Loosening may cause a dangerous situation, such as loss of control. Parts: Bolt (8 × 85), Nylon locking nut, Flat washer, Clamp screw, Rope (not included in standard accessories)
