Outboard motor storage positioning

1. Place the outboard motor in the vertical position under a dry condition. WARNING: Do not give a shock to an outboard motor during transportation. Do not carry or store the outboard motor in prohibited positions; otherwise the engine exterior may be damaged or water may enter the cylinder through the exhaust port and cause engine problems. 2. If the outboard motor must be laid down, be sure that fuel is completely drained, then lay the outboard motor with port side down on a cushion. WARNING: Ensure fuel is completely drained before laying the motor down.
