Cleaning and Flushing the Outboard Motor

4. Screw the flush port connector onto the garden hose. 5. Turn on the fresh water supply and flush the outboard motor for at least 10 minutes. 6. After flushing, disconnect the garden hose and reconnect the flush port connector. 7. Tilt up the outboard motor and move the tilt lock lever to the LOCK position. WARNING: Ensure the tilt lock lever is fully engaged in the LOCK position after tilting the motor. Tools: Garden hose, Flush port connector
