Procedure
1. Shut off the engine. WARNING: Do not attempt to tilt the outboard while the engine is running. 2. Press the trim/tilt switch or auxiliary tilt switch to the UP position. The outboard will tilt up until the switch is released or it reaches its maximum tilt position. 3. Engage the tilt support lever by rotating the knob to bring the support lever upward. 4. Lower the outboard slowly to rest on the tilt support lever.

Procedure · 1. Raise the outboard off the tilt support lever (a) to disengage it. 2. Rotate the tilt support lever (a) down using the knob (b). 3. Lower the outboard.
