Anode Replacement

1. Inspect the anode. If the anode is eroded more than 1/3 of its original size, replace it. 2. Locate the anode(s) on the gear case, cylinder, etc. Note: On Power tilt models (*1), an additional anode location applies. Remove the CD unit (*2) to access the anode where indicated. 3. At each inspection, re-tighten all anode attaching bolts, as they may loosen if the anodes are corroded. WARNING: Never grease or paint the anode. 4. Replace the anode if erosion exceeds 1/3 of original size. Install new anode and secure all attaching bolts.
